Nano Brows & Machine Hairstroke.
Nano brows and machine hairstroke are two names for the same hyperrealistic technique — the modern, machine-based evolution of microblading. We use a digital device with an ultra-thin nano needle to deposit pigment in soft, pixelated hairstrokes that look like real eyebrow hair — ideal for oily, sensitive, mature and previously-tattooed skin where classic microblading cannot heal cleanly.

Digital Nano Needle
Ultra-thin needle, controlled micro-impacts — far gentler than a manual blade.
Hyperrealistic Finish
Pixelated gradient hairstrokes that fade out softly, never blocky or saturated.
Works On Oily Skin
Holds crisp definition where microblading would blur within months.
All Skin Types
Mature, sensitive, oily, scarred or previously-tattooed — all welcome.
Nano brows = machine hairstroke
You may hear this technique called nano brows, machine hairstroke, machine hair stroke, nano hairstroke or digital hairstroke. They all describe the same procedure: a precision digital device fitted with a nano needle (typically 0.18–0.25 mm) that deposits pigment in tiny pixelated impacts, building each stroke as a natural gradient that mimics the way real hair fades from the skin.
The result is the most natural, invisible permanent makeup result available today — brows that look like brows, not like makeup and not like tattoo.
Nano brows / hairstroke vs microblading — which is right for you?
Microblading is a manual technique using a fine blade. Beautiful on normal-to-dry skin, but on oily, mature or sensitive skin the strokes spread, blur and lose definition over time.
Nano brows — machine hairstroke — are machine-based and respect the skin much more. The pigment heals cleaner, stays crisper longer, and is the only realistic choice for many skin types. In Lisbon's humid climate, machine hairstroke is often the better long-term decision.
Our signature: Breath Brows™
At Browboutique we have refined our own version of this technique under the name Breath Brows™ — Sabrina Zanin's signature hyperrealistic method. It is still nano brows / machine hairstroke at its core, but with a personal mapping protocol, custom pigment blending and stroke architecture developed across thousands of cases.
If you book a nano brows / machine hairstroke session with us, you receive the Breath Brows™ approach by default.
Lisbon nano brows by a Master Associate
Sabrina Zanin is a PhiBrows Master Associate practising hyperrealistic eyebrow permanent makeup since 2020. Browboutique is her private Cascais studio, by appointment only, serving clients from Lisbon, Estoril, Sintra, Oeiras and across Portugal.

How the shape is built
The brow shape is measured, never improvised.
On the day of your treatment, before a single hairstroke is drawn, Sabrina builds a precise mapping frame directly on your skin — the outline you see in the photo. It is the architectural blueprint of your new brow, and every stroke later sits inside it.
The frame comes from a full morphological study of the face: proportions, bone structure, muscle movement and the natural asymmetries that make you you. Measurements are then placed according to the golden ratio (the PhiBrows method), so the new shape is mathematically harmonious with your features — not a trend, not a stencil, not the same brow copied onto every client.
Only once the mapping is approved by you does the actual technique — Breath Brows™, microblading, nano brows or Latin Brows — begin inside that frame. The same protocol is used for every technique we offer.
Mapping ≠ Simulation — two different days
The mapping frame above is done on the day of the treatment. It defines the architecture of the brow, not the individual hairs. The hair-by-hair simulation — where every single stroke is pre-drawn on your face so you can see exactly how the finished brow will look — happens earlier, only during the in-studio consultation. They are two distinct steps on two different days.

Begin with an in-studio consultation in Cascais. Only on a live skin assessment can Sabrina read your skin, simulate the shape on your face and recommend the right technique for a result that lasts.
The in-studio consultation is a separate paid service (30€, 45 min) — it is the only setting where a full hair-by-hair simulation is drawn, and it is never included in any treatment price. See full details.
